Join us MONDAY July 27 and/or TUESDAY July 28 for two exciting days in the studio!
Guitar Recording Workshop – $75
Monday July 27 is nothing but guitars! We’ll spend the entire day exploring the methods, madness, and pro techniques for getting a killer guitar sound. With everything at their disposal, we’ll give a critical listen to the different amp styles, microphone and placement, and even see first hand how differences in preamp choice have a huge impact on sound.
*Students may bring their own guitars and amps for this exciting workshop.
Drum Recording Workshop – $75
On Tuesday July 28, we’ll spend the day doing nothing but drums! Students will explore and experiment with many different drums and microphones, and hear how different recording techniques sound. We’ll setup and demonstrate the differences and similarities of various methods including X-Y, Glyn Johns, 2-mic setups, and many more!
Recording Workshops are open to middle and high-school students, grade 7-12. These workshops are designed with experimentation and creativity in mind. Want to crush the overheads with compression? We’ll do it! Crank the amp up to 11 and capture the sound with a ribbon mic? We’ll do that, too! The possibilities are endless with imagination and creativity.

Our State College, PA recording studio was designed by one of LA’s top studio designers and boasts over 1000 sq ft. of dedicated space that includes two live rooms, isolation booth, and control room centered around a restored vintage analog recording console and the perfect blend of modern and vintage equipment.
